Starting A Vegetable Garden
It doesn’t take a lot of space, money or talent to grow your own vegetables. A visit to the garden every day or two to weed, tie up tomato plants and remove pesky insects keeps things healthy.
Want to learn how to grow culinary mushrooms? Curious about making your own herbal teas? Interested in finding out more about Habitat for Humanity? Steele Memorial Library’s Adult Summer Learning Program covers these topics (and more!).
Following is a list of summer programs (including an exercise class and a book club) that are for adults only, except where otherwise noted. They are held at the library and are free to the public, although patrons are asked to call 919-299-8105, ext. 2 to register for any programs in which they are interested.
And…keep an eye out for a new monthly column soon to be launched on MountOliveTribune.com, where you can learn more about these programs and other library happenings throughout the year.
