Walt Disney World has released Outdoor Kitchen food booth menus for the 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, the park’s big springtime celebration. This sneak peek shares food photos and a full list of new & returning savory snacks, decadent desserts, and novelty items–plus my commentary about what sounds delicious!
This year, the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival runs from February 28 through May 27, 2024 at Walt Disney World. (See our Ultimate Guide to the 2024 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival Guide for everything you need to know before you go!) The Outdoor Kitchens are all located throughout the World Showcase pavilions and portions of the new neighborhoods of Future World, just like the Food Studios before them during Festival of the Arts.
As we already discussed at length in our 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival Preview, this year’s event is ending early. Way early. So early that Walt Disney World must be planning something else. Given the early ending, radio silence about the opening of CommuniCore Hall, and the reality that Disney wouldn’t leave that sweet, sweet food & beverage revenue on the table, we’re guessing that a new-for-2024 EPCOT Summer Festival is going to be announced soon. Obviously, that’s a bit outside the scope of a post about Outdoor Kitchen menus, but if you’re wondering why this year’s festival is over a month shorter than last year, that’s probably why!
Back on topic, there are nearly 20 Outdoor Kitchens and over 60 new items at the 2024 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival. Not to diminish that number, because there are a decent amount of new dishes this year, but about three-quarters of the new items are drinks. Beyond that, the Mexico and Italy booths have all-new menus (like always) that are sure to be every bit as “good” as last year’s editions.
Other new items are returning snacks (with slight tweaks, maybe?) that have been on hiatus for a year or two. Then there’s the truly new stuff, which is maybe a dozen dishes. That’s still a pretty good number–and as you’ll see in perusing the food photos below, some of these items look fantastic!
Once the Festival kicks off, be sure to pick up a Festival Passport and join in on the tasty foodie fun with the return of Garden Graze. To join in on this food stroll, which features 8 tasty bites from the Outdoor Kitchens, simply get a stamp on your passport after your purchase and once you collect five, you can receive your exclusive treat from the Pineapple Promenade.
For a convenient way to pay as you go, try these specially-designed mini festival-themed Disney Gift Cards. Simply load it and wear it on your wrist for quick and easy scanning when you purchase all your festival favorites.
Of course, food is not the only draw of the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival–or even the highlight of the event. The celebration also features new character topiaries & gardens (featuring additions in the World Celebration Gardens for the first time), the Garden Rocks Concert Series makes its return, there’s event-exclusive merchandise to buy, and more.
As you’ll see from the Outdoor Kitchen food booth menus below, Walt Disney World’s culinary and beverage teams created some new foods for 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, and also brought back numerous fan favorites. Here’s a run-through of the menus, followed by my commentary about what sounds good!

Ultimately, I’m a bit mixed on the menus for the 2024 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival. The positive is that most of our favorite booths–Farmers Feast, BRUNCHCOT, and Honey Bee-stro–are returning and will offer up our favorite foods of the event. With its rotating seasonal menus–all of which sound fantastic–Farmers Feast should be the best booth of the event. It’s always top 3, but it should pass BRUNCHCOT this year.
I’m a bit disappointed to see the trend of fewer dishes per booth continue, which includes a few major cuts that impact both BRUNCHCOT and Honey Bee-stro. Of the Disney-operated outposts, it looks like every booth has at least one fewer food item. Honey Bee-stro loses its signature dessert, which would be a big blow, but for it appearing across the way as the Liquid Nitro Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake. This is my #1 most anticipated item, and it sounds like a beautiful marriage of the liquid nitro desserts from Food & Wine and the prior version of this cheesecake–here’s hoping it lives up to the hype.
And I hesitate to even mention this given how passionate vegetarians and vegans are–and how vocal they’ve been about fewer dishes for them at past festivals–but there are too many plant-based dishes for my tastes. I get that the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival is a horticulture-centric event, so more dishes ‘from the greenhouse’ makes sense–but these are mostly from the lab! I could absolutely get behind more earthy fare with fresh fruits, vegetables and (especially) mushrooms, but that’s not what this is, for the most part.
It would also be one thing if these were just net additions and alternatives, but to reduce menu sizes and replace items with plant-based options is a tough blow. The end result is that a much higher percentage of all items are plant-based. This isn’t an issue across the board, but it is at the good booths. (I would welcome entirely plant-based menus at the Italy, Mexico, and China booths with open arms.) Then again, now I know how vegetarians and vegans felt when (more or less) the opposite of that happened at the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Arts. Turnabout is fair play, I suppose…but I’d prefer more items, not fewer, with lots of options for everyone.
With all of that said, the 2024 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival food lineup still looks strong. Not as good as last year or the year prior, but we shouldn’t take for granted just how much the food has improved at this event over the last ~5 years. I’m especially reminded of this as these menus and the DCA Food & Wine Festival menus were released one day apart, and Flower & Garden completely trounces the California “foodie” event. For an event focused on foliage and so forth, Flower & Garden does food surprisingly well!
