If you’re looking for signs of spring, you may want to head inside.
It’s late March and we’re seeing snow fall in the Quad Cities. You might be wondering, where’s spring? Well, it’s right here at the QCCA Expo Center, Rock Island.
The annual Flower and Garden Show continues this weekend. The show features more than 100 vendors. Some of the items on display include plants, tools, landscaping services, gardening equipment and much more. There are also educational presentations for beginners and gardening experts.
“That’s the whole point of the Quad City Expo Center is not only to provide conservation efforts within the Quad City area but to also educate people when they come see us,” said Show Director Rob Junker.
“Not only do you now get a taste of spring that you thought was here that isn’t, it’s also just great time to get out and see all the beautiful flowers and everything that all these people have done to make all of this happen,” Junker added.
The show runs on Saturday from 10a a.m.-8 p.m. and it continues into Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tickets are $8. Most of the flowers and plants you’ll see at the show will be available for purchase on Monday, March 25, beginning at 2 p.m. in the North Hall of the Expo Center.
