A CITY gardener revealed their raised flower beds’ dual purpose.
While their hack came in handy for small spaces, some said they were too “lazy” to utilize it.
The DIY gardener (@greenfingeredcityboy) revealed the tip in a TikTok video.
He had built his raised flower beds high, leaving plenty of room underneath.
While his plants caught plenty of rays, he stored his trash bins underneath the beds.
While some were worried about the bins’ functionality, he proved they weren’t difficult to use.
“Having to pull the bin out every time to put rubbish on for me, I’m out,” said one commenter.
He carried a pail of trash over to the flower beds, pulling a bin from underneath.
“A lot of people worrying about using the bins… It is high enough for the bins to be pulled out while being low enough for me to enjoy the plants,” he wrote.
“It literally takes seconds.”

Many thought it was an innovative way to tuck away the bins with something beautiful.
“Better than looking at ugly buckets every day. People want you to live in a slum,” said one commenter.
“Can’t fathom why everyone is so pushed about this,” agreed another.
“It’s a cool idea, makes the most of the space while being a lot easier on the eyes than just bins!”
Some thought the commenter should’ve kept their thoughts to themselves.

“When did people get so lazy!” said one critic.
“Lazy people. Bet they are the ones that don’t put the trolley in the bays,” agreed another.
“People acting like rolling a bin out is impractical,” laughed a third.
A few didn’t think the task was difficult enough to be worth all the ruckus.
