UNION, S.C (WSPA) – Many people are interested in homesteading and whether you’re ready to raise chickens and goats or just start a small herb garden Clemson Extension and Union County 4H can help.
Mark Cathcart, 4H Youth Development Agent, said you can start a small herb garden in a window planter in your apartment or create raised bed planters in your backyard.
Some people choose to plant fruits and veggies now til later on in the year.
You can also raise chickens from baby chicks. With a small section of land, goats can be raised to provide things like milk, cheese and even soap.
