The Davis Flower Arrangers are honored to have Cherry Hoover present a Creative Design Workshop on Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. at the Stonegate Country Club, located at 919 Lake Blvd.
Cherry Hoover is a gardener known for her love of roses. Her huge garden of 150 plus roses constantly fill her with enjoyment and have helped her take the gold, silver, and bronze certificates in the National Rose Show for the American Rose Society. In addition to being a Consulting Rosarian and Horticultural and Arrangement judge for the American Rose Society, she is also the Chairperson of both the Sacramento and Sierra Foothills Rose Shows.
Hoover also takes great pleasure in designing with camellias and chrysanthemums and was thrilled to take top awards in recent Sacramento camellia and chrysanthemum design competitions. She is proud to say that she is in the final stages of obtaining her judgeship for the National Garden Club, which requires tremendous dedication and time to achieve. To top all of that off, Cherry has been a member of the Sacramento Floral Design Guild for over eight years and served as president for three years.
For the hands-on workshop, Hoover will supply all participants with a container, foam, a structure, and flowers.
