There are many flowers that can brighten up your garden. These popular perennial and annual bloomers are easy to grow and provide a colorful show.
Seeds, fertilizer and varieties — including spring and fall plantings — are all available to help you add a splash of color to your flower garden.
The theme of the 2023 show is “Gateway to Spring,” and will fill the Connecticut Convention Center with over 150,000 feet of plants and gardens. Low-maintenance, vegetable and herb plots are among some of the example gardens that will be on display at the Connecticut Flower Show.
The show will also have 23 live gardens, botanical arts and seminars on landscaping and horticulture. Seminars and live demonstrations will go over topics such as “Good Bug, Bad Bug, or Benign Bug?,” “No Dig Gardening,” and “Low Light Houseplants.” The schedule for seminars can be found on the flower show’s website.

on the flower show website through the last day of the exhibition. Tickets at the door will be $20 for adults and seniors, $5 for children ages 5-12 and free for children under the age of 5.
Visitors can park in the Connecticut Convention Center garage for $9 a day or $3 for the first hour and $2 for each additional hour. The Connecticut Flower Show is also running parking specials throughout the convention. On Thursday, Feb. 23 and Friday, Feb. 24, parking will be free at Propark South Surface Lot with a free shuttle to the convention center. On Saturday, Feb. 25 and Sunday, Feb. 26, parking will be $5 all-day in the Front Street North and South Garages.
