Disney has announced that the 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will end on May 27 (we already knew it would start on February 28), which is a month shorter than previous years. They also shared more details about the festival including new topiaries, Garden Rocks concert acts, and merchandise.
New Groot Topiary
Disney shared concept art of a new topiary depicting young Groot from the Guardians of the Galaxy holding up a cassette tape. This topiary will be located near Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in World Discovery.
At the main entrance of EPCOT, new toparies will depict Asha, Valentino, and the Wishing Star from the new Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Wish.” At the Mexico Pavilion will be a new topiary of Miguel and Dante from “Coco.”
This photo shows a Cast Member working on the Miguel topiary. It looks like he’ll be holding a guitar when complete.
There will be more than 70 topiaries in total. The returning Figment topiary will be located in World Celebration Gardens instead of at the Imagination! Pavilion.
Garden Rocks Concert Series
The Garden Rocks Concert Series at the America Gardens Theatre will feature local and globally recognized acts. New groups this year include Modern English, Crowder, Lit, Monsieur Perine, and Fonseca. Also for the first time, Raul Acosta & Oro Solido will share the stage with Magic Juan. They’ll then return the next day with Luisito Ayala and The Puerto Rican Power Band. A full schedule will be released later.
