Registration deadline for homesteading workshop Sept. 7

Homesteading is a big lifestyle change. It’s important to be sure you and your spouse are both on the same page before you start committing to it.

In the winter, take advantage of this off-peak time to stock up on seeds, chickens and supplies for spring. Make sure you have all the necessary tools.

“Wilkes Homesteading Workshop 101” is the topic of a program from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Wilkes Cooperative Extension Service office in the Wilkes Agricultural Center in Wilkesboro.
