Fall and winter are great times to harvest hay, feed and water livestock, and chop firewood. Recruiting a family hunter will ensure a year’s supply of healthy, untainted meat.
Even if moving to the country isn’t an option, starting small and gradually taking steps towards homesteading is a good start. Growing food and making your own household items will save money in the long run.
Valier Homesteader Days are on the way. Homesteader Days will kick off on Saturday, June 24th, & Linda’s already getting set to go & looking around for venders. If you’re a vender & would like to display your wares at Homesteader Days, please call Linda, at 590 4942. We’re all fired up for Summer ’23, in the Big Sky.
